Electrodialysis Equipment
Electrodialysis is electrically driven ion-exchange utilizing alternating sequences of cation membranes and anion membranes. Conventional ion-exchange techniques
involve the "adsorptive exchange" of an ion in a solution with an ion attached to
the functional group of the resin head.
Application:
• Desalination of closed-loop process water
• Recovery of metal salts
• Potable water production
Benefits:
• Maintenance of high-quality process water
• Recovery of valuable resources
• Reduced waste treatment and waste disposal
• No regeneration required
Donnan/Diffusion Dialysis
Donnan/diffusion dialysis is a little known alternative to conventional ion exchange techniques. Using perm-selective ion exchange membranes specific cations or
anions can be targeted for removal and concentration.
Application:
• De ionization of closed-loop process water
• Recovery of metals from low concentration
• Non additive pH adjustments
• Separation of monovalent ions from multivalent ions
Benefits:
• Maintenance of high quality process water
• Recovery of valuable resources
• Reduced waste treatment and waste disposal
• No resin regeneration required
• Generate desired cation/anion complexes
